The People Behind the Infrastructure

THE FOUNDING
TEAM

In order to thrive, autonomous agents need systems built for them — not adapted to them. Kallion was built by the people with the best reasons to build it — one who found a problem in the existing agent infrastructure, and one who spent a career building the infrastructure to solve it.

This founding team wasn't assembled. It's as organic as it gets. Two brothers with wildly different skillsets found a unique way to converge on a problem and bring their combined seven decades of professional experience to bear on an opportunity that was hiding in plain sight. One found a gap in the market. The other has spent a career building tools to fill those kinds of gaps.

CHRIS ARIAS
Co-Founder & CEO

Chris Arias studied Chemical Engineering at Georgia Tech. During his sophomore year, he discovered his entrepreneurial wiring and switched to Management — the 1991 precursor to what is now the Scheller College of Business. Less than a year later, he dropped out to start a new venture with his wife, Andi.

They purchased a distressed independent insurance agency in 1991 and turned it around. A year and a half later, Chris was offered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to pursue a creative dream as a composer and sound designer for the production division of a multi-organizational nonprofit initiative called the CoMission.

He and Andi hired another agent and their adventure picked up steam. In 1994, when the production phase started winding down, they sold the agency and Chris started a new post-production company. That was the beginning of a beautiful thirty-year run.

He had found the work he was meant to do, and it freed Andi to give their growing family her first and best attention.

Chris began working with AI tools in 2022, figuring that if they were good enough to be a threat, he could probably turn them into a tool. He was right — stacking wins with hybrid workflows in music production and writing.

Then in 2025, between federal spending cuts and two large AI displacements, he realized the iceberg he'd built his professional life on was starting to melt — and melting fast. Unlike cattle, who flee approaching storms and spend days in the rain, Arias took his cue from the buffalo. He turned to face the coming storm and ran full speed into it — drawing on everything he'd learned about navigating disruption and acquiring the new skills the moment demanded.

His choice was clear. Get steamrolled. Or learn to drive the steamroller. Early in 2026, he drove it straight to Kallion.

MITCH ARIAS
Co-Founder & CTO

Mitch Arias has been writing production software since 1982. That's not a typo.

A Computer Science graduate of Georgia Tech, he has spent over four decades designing and building systems that work under real-world conditions — healthcare infrastructure for Blue Cross/Blue Shield companies nationwide, logistics platforms that increased operational efficiency by 400%, and mission-critical tools used by thousands of people daily.

Since 2013, he has served as Senior Solutions Architect at EnrollVB, where he owns architecture, data modeling, front-end, back-end, and the full development lifecycle. He is not a specialist who needs a team around him to fill gaps. He designs it, builds it, and ships it.

When Chris described the frustrations he had run into and outlined his thumbnail sketch of building a framework of tools built for agents, by agents, Mitch immediately understood the implications. He knew he could navigate the technical road forward.

He'd spent four decades solving exactly that class of problem — reliable data pipelines, multitenant architecture, systems that hold up when real users hit them at volume. The domain was new. The work wasn't.

For an engineer who has never stopped building, that was reason enough.

At Kallion, Mitch owns the infrastructure — ensuring that Kallion's real-time data rail (RTD™) delivers fast, reliable data agents can trust.
